Please, please understand this.
...
If you are on my Facebook friends list, you are either:
- a person I enjoy interacting with and want to spend more time around, live or online
- a person who is odd and interesting enough that I want to see what you write next
- a person who means a lot to me and adds to my life
- family and/or related to me
- some combination of the above
...
I don't keep people on my Facebook friends list just because they sent me a friend request. In fact, I whittle down the number of people on my list regularly. So if you're on there, it's because I WANT you on there. Just letting you know.
A fair number of friends have periodic anxiety/depression/insecurity that makes them question this fact, and I want each of them to be reminded that they matter to me.
Also, if you question your worth and desirability, consider that you are thus questioning my choice in friends. I am a great chooser of interesting friends, folks, and if you can't trust what your brain is telling you, maybe trust my choices for now? I think you're worthwhile and interesting; you should just accept that I'm right. Want proof? Look at the rest of my friends list. Those are some pretty interesting folks. And you stand among them.
